Centris Ames Branch Updates

For over 13 years, the Centris Federal Credit Union branch located at 4804 Ames Avenue has been a staple in the North Omaha community. We are proud to see the steady growth of our membership at this branch and, because of this, we need more space. We also want to improve parking and the drive-thru flow to provide the best overall experience for our members.

In late 2022, we announced our intention to temporarily move the Ames branch and rebuild a new branch at the 4804 Ames Avenue location. Due to various discussions between the city, our architects and engineers regarding city code, our original plan to rebuild on this site was no longer possible. This project remained a top priority for our executive team to ensure we continue to be where our members are and support your financial needs.

Today, we are happy to announce that we will soon begin the process of building a new branch at 66th and Ames Avenue. A new build of our Ames branch at a new location will allow us to keep our current branch fully operational during the construction, therefore, causing no interruption for our members. While we are still in the initial stages of this exciting project, we anticipate that we can move our current Ames branch to this new location in late 2025.
