Meet the Experts
Robert L. Kardell (Bob) – Baird Holm Attorneys at Law
Robert L. Kardell (Bob) is an attorney whose practice focuses on cyber-breach incident response, legal and technology-based risk management solutions, technology and cyber-defense policy and protections, intrusion remediation, and fraud prevention and investigation.
Bob has more than 22 years of experience working for the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Special Agent investigating cyber, white collar, terrorism, and other crimes. In addition to an attorney, Bob is a CPA, and holds certifications in cyber security and computer and accounting forensics. He has been a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners for over twenty years and was a member of the editorial advisory committee for Fraud magazine for 10 years.
Josh Planos – Better Business Bureau
Josh Planos serves as the Vice President of Marketing, Communications and Public Relations for the Better Business Bureau of the Midwest Plains, leading the organization’s marketing initiatives, internal and external communications, and consumer protection and community impact programs.
Ashley Goodsell (Ash) – Centris Federal Credit Union
Ash Goodsell is a senior BSA fraud investigator at Centris Federal Credit Union in Omaha, Neb. Ashley has been in her role at Centris for over seven years and has ten years of law enforcement experience. She received her bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Iowa and her Master of Public Administration in law from the University of Phoenix. Ashley has a passion for educating Centris members about fraud and contributes her insights regularly to the Centris Member Protection Center. In her free time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her kids at various sporting events, reading crime books, and listening to podcasts.
Diane Cruz – Centris Federal Credit Union
Diane Cruz serves as assistant vice president, retail financial services at Centris, bringing 18 years of experience in the financial services industry. Over her 14 years at Centris, she has built a strong reputation for leadership, member service, and fostering meaningful financial relationships. Diane is also a proud Army Reserve veteran, whose dedication, discipline, and commitment to service continue to inform her approach to leadership and community engagement.
