Dawn Gonzales
Dawn Gonzales brings over 30 years of experience in marketing and public relations, with a special focus on credit unions for the past 26 years. She has been a valued team member at Centris for 22 years, where she currently serves as vice president of community relations. She earned her Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is passionate about leading public relations strategies and community engagement. At Centris, Gonzales oversees community relations and drives initiatives like sponsorships, donations and the annual community grant program.
Throughout her career, Gonzales has been an active member of the community, serving on numerous boards and committees. Through her work at Centris, she has had the opportunity to collaborate with over 1,500 young people in the metro area, helping to enhance financial literacy through various school and scouting programs.
Gonzales is also a proud member of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Alumni Association’s Nebraska Women’s Leadership Network and Omaha Network. She represents Centris in several local chambers of commerce and is a dedicated member of Downtown Rotary, where she served on the board of directors for three years. Additionally, she contributes her expertise to the advisory council for the Susan G. Komen Nebraska affiliate and is in her fourth two-year term as a board member for CHAD (Combined Health Agencies Drive).
Never one to sit still for very long, she enjoys needlepointing, traveling and exploring new places near and far with her husband and spending time with their two grown daughters and son-in-law.
